FAMILY ACTIVITY NIGHT SCIENCE FAIR


 - EXPLORA Las CIENCIAS -
This year Horace Mann is partnering up with Exploration Place to provide an engaging, hands on science night filled with a variety of science, technology, engineering, and math or STEM activities K-8. In addition there will be science demonstrations, a STEM career fair and activities that integrate math/science in music, art and PE as well!
So mark your calendars and make plans to attend on:

SCIENCE FAIR T-SHIRT SALE - JANUARY 14th - FEBRUARY 5th
Science Fair T-shirts are on sale and will be available to be worn during the night of the science fair.  Science Fair T-shirts can be worn every Friday as a spirit t-shirt for Free! The logo is black on a lime green t-shirt. Order yours today!  The last day to turn in your order and money is February 5th! Flyers will be coming home January 14th.

"March Madness"
Basketball Intramurals
 
We are beginning a "March Madness" Basketball Intramural league after school at Horace Mann for 4th and 5th grade boys and girls.  Students will play 4 vs. 4 games.  Please see Mr. Schrant to sign up!   The deadline to join this fun league is Friday, February 12th.

Boys:  Mondays February 22 - March 28
Girls: Wednesday, February 24 and then Thursdays till March 31

Games start at 3:30 and end at 4:30 p.m. at Horace Mann.

  • All entries must be hand drawn or original computer generated creations (no clip art.)
  • Must be on 8" X 11" unlined white paper.
  • First and last name with grade level must be on the back.
  • All entries must be submitted to Mrs. Harcus by March 31, 2016 to be considered.
PRIZES
1st place wins the cover space and a free yearbook.
2nd place winners (K-8) earn the cover spaces for each grade level.
