My name is Mrs. Eliana Ale-Ebrahim and I teach elementary vocal
music K-5 and direct two middle school choirs at Horace Mann.
This year will be my tenth year teaching in the USD 259
district. I was born in La Paz, Bolivia but grew up here in
Wichita with my parents and younger brother. I went to OK
Elementary, Hadley Junior High, and graduated from Wichita North
High. I majored in music education (K-8 grades) at Friends
University and received my Master’s degree in elementary vocal
music from Wichita State University. Attending schools in
Wichita, I believe that Wichita is a GREAT place for education
and for that I am very grateful!
This summer my husband and I spent a lot of time with family and
friends which was the best part! I also enjoyed trying new
cooking recipes, reading a new book, or doing fun research on
the computer.
This year I will focus on instilling the “I think I can”
attitude in my students both in and out of school. Anything is
possible when you put your mind to it. A saying I have in my
classroom reads, “learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for
tomorrow.”
